Amelia + Alex | Patuna Chasm

Amelia + Alex's elopement was truly one of the highlights of my photography journey so far. I had done the Patuna Chasm walk with my husband years ago so I was beyond excited about shooting an elopement down there.

Amelia and Alex are from the UK and decided to elopement due to travel restrictions and their family being unable to make it. They hired a gorgeous house with a bunch of close friends and planned an epic adventure.

The day was absolutely perfect. Amelia was my bohemian dream bride come true. Look how insanely beautiful and Alex looked together! We did a first look at their Airbnb and then set off with their two best friends, Laura and Adam to Patuna Chasm where we met the amazing Libby who was their celebrant for they day. Alan packed the 6 of us into his 4WD and we set off through his private farm to the beginning of the track. We laughed and clambered through the bush (and a bit of mud) until we reached the entrance and abseiled down using a small rope.

Once down there, we spent a few minutes just enjoying the scenery before the most intimate and magical ceremony. There were laughs, tears and joy and at that moment I had to pinch myself that it was real.

After the ceremony and photos, we headed back to their accomodation where we were welcomed by their closest friends.

Thank you Amelia and Alex for the most memorable experience of my career so far.

Page + Andrew | Rose & Smith's

Page and Cripps have known each other since high school and during our first zoom meeting, we quickly figured out we had mutual friends in Wanganui. They told me the story of how they got together and I got such a lovely, chilled vibe from the both of them. We went through all the vendors that they had booked, I knew on the back of my mind to expect an amazing wedding but what I got to document on the actual day exceeded what I had imagined. These guys have immaculate taste and all the details were to die for! From the dress to the bouquets, the arch down to the cake and champagne glasses. Not only was it a beautiful wedding, it was one full of laughs from start to finish. They surrounded themselves with the best crew of bridesmaids and groomsmen and had such a ball. This was also the first time I have submitted a wedding which got featured on Together Journal.
